Mountain Brook defeats Hoover 59-50

Mountain Brook’s Trendon Watford led all scorers with 22 points as the Spartans beat Hoover 59-50 in a game at Mountain Brook High School.”

Watford’s points came on 6 field goals, 1 three pointer and 7 of 7 free throws during the game.

Hoover was led by Marion Humphrey’s 19 points and Jamari Blackmon added 17. Hoover fell to 0-0 overall while Mountain Brook improved their record to 9-0.

Mountain Brook will host Vestavia Hills on Saturday Jan. 6 at 1:30pm.
