Oelwein’s Alexa Berryman led all scorers with 11 points as the Huskies beat Independence Mustangs 26-25 in a game at Independence, IA.

Berryman’s points came on 2 field goals, 2 three pointers and 1 of 2 free throws during the game.

Havanna Griffith added 8. Independence fell to 0-2 overall while Oelwein improved their record to 1-0.

Independence’s next game is scheduled to be played at home on Friday Jan. 8 versus Vinton Shellsburg.
