Hayfield’s Ethan Slaathaug led all scorers with 18 points as the Vikings beat Maple River Eagles 76-38 in a game at Hayfield.

Slaathaug’s points came on 7 field goals and 4 of 4 free throws during the game.

Tyler Maas added 7. Maple River fell to 0-2 overall while Hayfield improved their record to 13-2.

Maple River’s next game is scheduled to be played at St. Peter on Thursday Jan. 17 at 5:30pm versus St. Peter. Hayfield will travel to New Richland on Tuesday Jan. 22 at 5:15pm to play New Richland Hartland Ellendale Geneva.
