Hayfield’s Patrick Towey led all scorers with 23 points as the Vikings beat Zumbrota-Mazeppa Cougars 70-58 in a game at Hayfield.

Towey’s points came on 2 field goals, 5 three pointers and 4 of 5 free throws during the game.

Zach Hutton added 14. Zumbrota Mazeppa fell to 1-0 overall while Hayfield improved their record to 9-1.

Hayfield will travel to Rushford on Thursday Jan. 3 at 5:30pm to play Rushford Peterson.
