RB Alex Gayle accumulated 163 rushing yards and scored 1 touchdown to lead St. John’s Jesuit to a 16-6 win over Perrysburg on Friday night at Perrysburg High School.

The Titans also recieved impressive efforts from RB Christopher Valentine who rushed 18 times for 107 yards and WR Dimitrios Mitsopoulos who caught 1 pass for 7 yards.

Perrysburg’s Drew Sims threw for 249 yards and 1 touchdown, Caleb Gerken picked up 3 rushing yards and Ty Bezek had 180 receiving yards and 1 touchdown.

With the loss, Perrysburg falls to 0-2 on the season. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.

St. John’s Jesuit will take on the Mansfield Senior Tygers at home on Friday September 8 at 7:00pm. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
