Newport Cubs beat Madras White Buffaloes 62-53 in OR high school basketball game

Newport Guard Easton Herrmann led the way with 25 points as the Cubs beat Madras White Buffaloes 62-53 in a game at SES.

Herrmann’s points came on 6 field goals, 2 three pointers and 7 of 12 free throws during the game.

Matthew Suppah Scott added 25. Madras fell to 8-1 overall while Newport improved their record to 1-0.

Madras’ next game is scheduled to be played at Crook County High School on Tuesday Jan. 6 versus Crook County. Newport will host North Bend on Tuesday Jan. 6
