Mercer Island’s Tyler Butson led all scorers with 17 points as the Islanders beat Newport Grizzlies 61-53 in a game at Mercer Island, WA.

Butson’s points came on 2 field goals, 3 three pointers and 4 of 5 free throws during the game.

Cole H added 15. Newport fell to 0-1 overall while Mercer Island improved their record to 3-0.
