Mead Panthers edge Cheney Blackhawks 51-49 in Washington high school basketball game

Mead Forward Kolby Bumpas led the way with 16 points as the Panthers beat Cheney Blackhawks 51-49 in a game at Cheney High School.

Bumpas’ points came on 8 field goals during the game.

Jakeb Vallance added 16. Cheney fell to 5-9 overall while Mead improved their record to 7-7.

Cheney’s next game is scheduled to be played at Lewis & Clark High School on Friday Jan. 20 versus Lewis & Clark. Mead will host University on Friday Jan. 20
