Cheney Guard Evan Stinson led the way with 23 points as the Blackhawks beat Wenatchee Panthers 61-56 in a game at Cheney High School.

Stinson’s points came on 4 field goals, 4 three pointers and 3 of 4 free throws during the game.

Rivers Cook added 24. Wenatchee fell to 1-9 overall while Cheney improved their record to 5-4.

Wenatchee’s next game is scheduled to be played at Kentwood High School on Tuesday Jan. 3 versus Kentwood. Cheney will travel to Mt. Spokane HS on Tuesday Jan. 3 to play Mt. Spokane.
