Lewis & Clark Tigers edge Cheney Blackhawks 12-10 in Washington high school football game

Lewis & Clark High School running back Gentz Hillburn picked up 91 rushing yards and scored 1 touchdown to help the Lewis & Clark Tigers to a 12-10 win over the Cheney Blackhawks on Thursday night at Union Stadium in a high school football game.

The Tigers also received impressive efforts from running back James Sheridan who rushed 3 times for 21 yards and quarterback Cooper Jeffries who rushed 9 times for 13 yards and 1 touchdown.

Cheney’s quarterback Jakeb Vallance threw for 119 yards and 1 touchdown and wide receiver Kordell Laher had 61 receiving yards.

The win helps Lewis & Clark improve to 3-2 on the season while Cheney falls to 1-4. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.

Lewis & Clark travels to Kennewick, WA to take on the Southridge Suns on Friday October 7. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.

Cheney travels to Liberty Lake, WA to challenge the Ridgeline Falcons on Friday October 7. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
