Toppenish Wildcats cruises by Wapato Wolves 38-6 in Washington high school football game

Toppenish High School wide receiver Christopher Grant picked up 89 receiving yards and scored 3 touchdowns to help the Toppenish Wildcats to a 38-6 win over the Wapato Wolves on Tuesday night in a high school football game.

The Wildcats also received vital efforts from wide receiver Buddy Blackburn who completed 2 passes for 63 yards and 2 touchdowns and quarterback Jaxon Smith who rushed 1 time for 60 yards and 1 touchdown.

Wapato’s wide receiver Aroldo De Luna threw for 174 yards and safety Braden Richardson picked up 8 rushing yards.

The win helps Toppenish improve to 4-0 on the season while Wapato falls to 0-4. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.

Toppenish travels to Connell, WA to take on the Connell Eagles on Saturday March 20. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.

Wapato will face off against the College Place Hawks at home on Saturday March 20. In their previous matchup on Friday February 26, the College Place Hawks cruised to a 35-0 win.
