Kiona-Benton Bears crushes Wapato Wolves 35-8 in Washington high school football game

Kiona Benton High School quarterback Jorge Mondragon picked up 219 rushing yards and scored 1 touchdown to lead the Kiona-Benton Bears to a 35-8 win over the Wapato Wolves on Thursday night in a high school football game.
The Bears also received helpful efforts from running back Martine Villarreal who caught 5 passes for 49 yards and 2 touchdowns and running back Joe Mendoza who rushed 5 times for 64 yards and 1 touchdown.
Wapato’s wide receiver Aroldo De Luna threw for 58 yards and 1 touchdown and safety Braden Richardson had 41 receiving yards and 1 touchdown.
The win helps Kiona-Benton improve to 1-1 on the season while Wapato falls to 0-3. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.
Kiona-Benton travels to College Place, WA to face off against the College Place Hawks on Tuesday March 16. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
