Mt. Spokane Wildcats defeat Mead Panthers 16-9 in Washington high school football game

Mt. Spokane quarterback Kellen Flanigan had 117 passing yards and threw for 1 touchdown to guide the Mt. Spokane Wildcats to a 16-9 win over the Mead Panthers on Friday night at Union Stadium in a football game.

The Wildcats also received impressive efforts from wide receiver Aiden Prado who caught 2 passes for 49 yards and wide receiver Tyler Alm who rushed 13 times for 24 yards.

Mead’s quarterback JO SONNICHSEN threw for 21 yards, running back CALEB SHAWEN picked up 145 rushing yards and 1 touchdown and cornerback AYDEN CANNON had 14 receiving yards.

The win helps Mt. Spokane improve to 4-1 on the season while Mead falls to 3-3. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.

Mt. Spokane will face off against the University Titans at home on Friday April 9. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
