Ferris Saxons defeat Cheney Blackhawks 53-44 in Washington high school basketball game

Ferris’ Kayla Jones led all scorers with 22 points as the Saxons beat Cheney Blackhawks 53-44 in a game at Cheney High School.

Jones’ points came on 5 field goals, 3 three pointers and 3 of 3 free throws during the game.

Macey Richards added 16. Cheney fell to 3-8 overall while Ferris improved their record to 5-5.

Cheney’s next game is scheduled to be played at home on Tuesday Jan. 9 versus Gonzaga Prep. Ferris will host Mt. Spokane on Monday Jan. 8
