Holmen Vikings edge Tomah Timberwolves 35-32 in Wisconsin high school football game

Tomah - Holmen High School Noah Ertz picked up 108 rushing yards and scored 2 touchdowns to guide the Holmen Vikings to a 35-32 win over the Tomah Timberwolves on Friday night in a high school football game.

The Vikings also received crucial efforts from Blake Goyette who rushed 27 times for 93 yards and AJ Alesch who rushed 15 times for 87 yards and 1 touchdown.

Tomah's defensive back Jackson Steffel threw for 177 yards and 2 touchdowns, safety Logan Rufledt picked up 90 rushing yards and 1 touchdown and defensive back Eli Brown had 117 receiving yards.

The win helps Holmen improve to 1-4 on the season while Tomah falls to 2-3. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.

Holmen will challenge the Sparta Spartans at home on Friday September 22. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
