Holmen Vikings beat Medford Raiders 21-14 in WI high school football game

Holmen High School quarterback Bennett Schild picked up 99 rushing yards and scored 2 touchdowns to lead the Holmen Vikings to a 21-14 win over the Medford Raiders on Friday night in a high school football game.

The Vikings also received major efforts from running back Landon Barg who rushed 15 times for 98 yards and 1 touchdown and running back Jakai Ayed who rushed 2 times for 29 yards.

Medford’s quarterback Dylan Frey threw for 65 yards and 1 touchdown and running back Will Wojcik picked up 193 rushing yards and 1 touchdown.

The win helps Holmen improve to 1-0 on the season while Medford falls to 0-1. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.

Holmen travels to Prairie du Sac, WI to face off against the Sauk Prairie Eagles on Friday August 28. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.

Medford will challenge the Onalaska Hilltoppers at home on Friday August 28. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
