Pontotoc Warriors edge New Albany Bulldogs 14-13 in Mississippi high school football game

Pontotoc High School running back Jordan Ball had 115 rushing yards and scored 1 touchdown to lead the Pontotoc Warriors to a 14-13 win over the New Albany Bulldogs on Friday night in a high school football game.

The Warriors also received helpful efforts from wide receiver Nic Townsend who completed 1 pass for 50 yards and 1 touchdown and quarterback Conner Armstrong who completed 2 passes for 28 yards.

New Albany’s Joe Mathis threw for 40 yards, running back Kody Atkinson picked up 80 rushing yards and Cameron Knox had 45 receiving yards.

The win helps Pontotoc improve to 3-2 on the season while New Albany falls to 4-2. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.

Pontotoc travels to Pontotoc, MS to take on the South Pontotoc Cougars on Thursday October 7. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.

New Albany will take on the Ripley Tigers at home on Friday October 8. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
