Northwest Rankin Cougars defeat Clinton Arrows 21-14 in Mississippi high school football game
Clinton High School - Northwest Rankin High School quarterback Wesley White accumulated 146 passing yards and threw for 1 touchdown to lead the Northwest Rankin Cougars to a 21-14 win over the Clinton Arrows on Friday night at Clinton High School in a high school football game.
The Cougars also received impressive efforts from running back Dylan Lewis who rushed 24 times for 123 yards and 1 touchdown and running back Lawrence Weakley who rushed 9 times for 24 yards and 1 touchdown.
Clinton's quarterback Sam Semi threw for 78 yards, running back Jakobe Williams picked up 114 rushing yards and 1 touchdown and athlete Jaydann Hollins had 27 receiving yards.
The win helps Northwest Rankin improve to 2-0 on the season while Clinton falls to 0-2. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.
Northwest Rankin will face off against the Ocean Springs Greyhounds at home on Friday September 8. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
