Northwest Rankin Cougars crushes Murrah Mustangs 45-0 in MS high school football game

Northwest Rankin High School quarterback Jett White accumulated 74 passing yards and threw for 2 touchdowns to help the Northwest Rankin Cougars to a 45-0 win over the Murrah Mustangs on Friday night in a high school football game.

The Cougars also received major efforts from running back Cody Morgan jr. who rushed 7 times for 55 yards and 1 touchdown and athlete Xavier Dotson who rushed 3 times for 6 yards and 1 touchdown.

Murrah’s quarterback Jayden Watts threw for 13 yards, defensive end Dwan Spires picked up 7 rushing yards and wide receiver Courtavious Russell had 12 receiving yards.

The win helps Northwest Rankin improve to 0-0 on the season while Murrah falls to 0-0. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.

Northwest Rankin will take on the Germantown Mavericks at home on Friday August 29. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.

Murrah travels to Terry, MS to take on the Terry Bulldogs on Friday August 29. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
