Loretto Mustangs beat Belmont Cardinals 59-46 in Mississippi high school basketball game

Loretto’s Karly Weathers led the way with 17 points as the Mustangs beat Belmont Cardinals 59-46 in a game at Lauderdale County High School.

Weathers’ points came on 7 field goals and 3 of 4 free throws during the game.

Macie Walker added 23. Belmont fell to 14-1 overall while Loretto improved their record to 1-0.

Belmont’s next game is scheduled to be played at home on Tuesday Jan. 5 versus Kossuth.
