Walnut Wildcats defeat Ingomar Falcons 37-31 in Mississippi high school basketball game

Walnut’s Claire Leak led all scorers with 16 points as the Wildcats beat Ingomar Falcons 37-31 in a game at Booneville.

Leak’s points came on 3 field goals, 2 three pointers and 4 of 6 free throws during the game.

Macie Phifer added 11. Ingomar fell to 15-8 overall while Walnut improved their record to 15-9.

Ingomar’s next game is scheduled to be played at Amory High School on Thursday Feb. 4 versus Amory. Walnut will travel to Ashland High School on Friday Feb. 5 to play Ashland.
