Riverdale Raiders crushes Fort Myers Green Wave 44-21 in FL high school football game

Riverdale High School Lovensky Blanchard accumulated 197 rushing yards and scored 3 touchdowns to guide the Riverdale Raiders to a 44-21 win over the Fort Myers Green Wave on Friday night in a high school football game.

The Raiders also received crucial efforts from Theodis Harris who completed 8 passes for 178 yards and 1 touchdown and Marquis Young who caught 4 passes for 97 yards.

Fort Myers’ Dominic Ardezzone threw for 67 yards and 2 touchdowns, Trevon Moate picked up 48 rushing yards and 1 touchdown and Bryson Glover had 38 receiving yards and 1 touchdown.

The win helps Riverdale improve to 5-1 on the season while Fort Myers falls to 2-6. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.

Riverdale will challenge the Cape Coral Seahawks at home on Friday October 17. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.

Fort Myers travels to Lehigh Acres, FL to take on the East Lee County Jaguars on Friday October 24. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
