Fort Myers Green Wave defeat Charlotte Fightin' Tarpons 21-9 in Florida high school football game

Fort Myers High School Quarterback Carter Lane accumulated 118 passing yards and threw for 1 touchdown to help Fort Myers Green Wave to a 21-9 win over <a href=’/football/teams/236959-charlotte-fightin-tarpons’ alt=’Charlotte Fightin’ Tarpons’> Charlotte Fightin’ Tarpons</a> on Friday night at Edison Stadium, Fort Myers in a high school football game.
The Green Wave also received key efforts from Running Back Zemare Harvin who rushed 16 times for 84 yards and 1 touchdown and Quarterback Da’Mani Brown who caught 4 passes for 64 yards and 1 touchdown.
Charlotte’s Quarterback John Busha threw for 133 yards and 1 touchdown and Fullback Isaac White had 40 receiving yards and 1 touchdown.
The win helps Fort Myers improve to 2-0 on the season while Charlotte falls to 0-1. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.
Fort Myers travels to Fort Myers, FL to face off against the Dunbar Tigers on Friday October 9. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
