Ridgeland Titans edge Northwest Rankin Cougars 29-27 in Mississippi high school football game

Ridgeland High School Garrison Davis picked up 187 passing yards and threw for 2 touchdowns to help the Ridgeland Titans to a 29-27 win over the Northwest Rankin Cougars on Friday night at Ridgeland Football Stadium in a high school football game.

The Titans also received vital efforts from running back Kamari Payne who rushed 20 times for 90 yards and wide receiver Jabraxton Boone who caught 2 passes for 44 yards.

Northwest Rankin’s quarterback Wesley White threw for 168 yards and 1 touchdown, running back Dylan Lewis picked up 170 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns and wide receiver Brendan Brown had 87 receiving yards and 1 touchdown.

The win helps Ridgeland improve to 1-0 on the season while Northwest Rankin falls to 0-1. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.

Ridgeland will take on the Pearl Pirates at home on Friday September 2. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
