Mater Dei Monarchs edge Santa Margarita Eagles 62-59 in CA high school basketball game

Mater Dei HS - Mater Dei Guard Luke Barnett led all scorers with 30 points as the Monarchs beat Santa Margarita Eagles 62-59 in a game at Mater Dei HS.

Barnett's points came on 8 field goals, 3 three pointers and 5 of 6 free throws during the game.

Kaiden Bailey added 28. Santa Margarita fell to 17-4 overall while Mater Dei improved their record to 18-5.

Santa Margarita's next game is scheduled to be played at home on Friday Jan. 24 versus St. John Bosco. Mater Dei will host Servite on Friday Jan. 24
